The Head and the Heart

Just as a body cannot have two heads, so neither can a household. For the body to function, it must have a head on its shoulders and a heart in its chest. Otherwise, it can neither function, nor live. Likewise, a household can only have one head firmly in the lead and one heart beating and guiding the head, providing nourishing blood to all the other parts of the body, including the head. In other words, the family is the body: the father is the head, the mother is the heart, and the children (if any) are the remaining  parts of the body. Each has a role that makes the family function much in the way each body part has a role to make the body function. This is the order of the world. The body parts cannot rebel or switch roles lest the body die. So to with the family.
